  The "Trinity" doctrine blasphemes Jehovah and Jesus.

  this is the last time i will post or read about the "trinity" doctrine because in my mind jehovah and jesus has enlightened me to see the real source of the so-called holy trinity.

  satan is the originator of this unbiblical doctrine.

  after i left jw's i felt i had to accept the trinity doctrine in order to be "saved".

  Encouraged to read old light?

  i remember my mother espousing the value in all the old publications and wanting me to read them when i was young.

  as well as directives to place remaining copies of "older" books (about 10 years out of date) in the door to door work.

  are they naive to the fact that the material is so outdated or do they just see the past in rose colored still new light glasses?.

  Just addressing one of your points. Exodus 7:1 NIV - Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.
  If you are going to quote you should look at the thing. I do not see any comparison here. The word like takes away any meaning that Moses was truely a God or that he was a false god. The meaning here is that he is superior to Pharaoh, not that he in fact was God.
  Even if you use a translation that does not use the word like, if you read around this passage the context is that Moses does not feel adequate to go before Pharaoh. And God is telling him not to worry that he is better than Pharaoh.

  I think I was four when I decided I wanted to be famous. I would sing in our living room. I loved to entertain. I made people laugh.

  All my report cards said, "Sherri's an incredible student, but she's a class clown." When we moved out of Chicago into a suburb to escape gang violence, there weren't many black people there, and we were called "niggers" a lot. I made jokes out of whatever they said. I always dealt with pain through humor.

  What kind of pain?
  
  Besides the racial insults, things were tough at home. My dad was a Christian, but my mom became a Jehovah's Witness when I was about seven. To keep the peace, my father became one, but he was miserable.

  Jehovah's Witnesses believe only a remnant of 144,000 go to heaven. They believe Jesus is actually the archangel Michael, and they don't believe in the Trinity.

  We immediately stopped celebrating holidays such as Christmas. Our family distanced our- selves from extended family because we weren't supposed to associate with non-Witnesses. My father questioned things, so eventually the elders excommunicated him and told us we couldn't talk to him anymore.

  My mom filed for divorce, packed us up, and moved us to California when I was 17. Being a senior in a new high school, I had no friends. I didn't have a father in my home. My mom now had to work two jobs. There was no structure, so I just went crazy.

  it has often been said that the jw organisation of today is far, far different to the organisation that ct russell set up, both in beliefs and teachings as well as administration.

  i've even heard it said that if ctr were alive today, he would be disfellowshipped for all manner of 'offences' as proscribed by the modern-day wts!

  so, if it were possible for you to ask ctr just one question, what would it be?

  I was told it was so that the "plate" did'nt have to be passed! but now we pass the plate all the time and no one really cares or sees who is giving... just a thought... Biddie

  Biddie, I have never heard of a plate being passed in the KHs. Is this isolated or are all the KHs doing this? Triple A.
